Firstly, I recognize what I want my students learning goals and results to be. I look
at State and school standards and take into consideration the interest of my students. I think
of objectives and goals I want my students to learn and understand. I then go
on to student understandings and essential questions. what students will ask and connections they can make? What I will ask students pertaining to the subject that will help them gain a better understanding of the lesson? I would write down things that come to mind when thinking about this subject and use those points as the essential questions. After I wrap up the main idea and focus on my goal I can plan a way that I will give over the lesson to my students and accurately assess their learning.
